YouTube Shorts adopts Instagram’s “Custom Add” sticker

Of course, the platform adds a couple of new features for Short, which makes creating this kind of videos easy.

In a press release last week, YouTube is steping in the next level showing that the platform wants to challenge Instagram Reels and TikTok. The platform is now especially working on a set of new novelties to be added to Shorts, a short video format.

For example, there is a kind of instrument, named “The Personal Add” in the YouTube.
The first of these initiatives is a tool that has been introduced with the name of “Personal Add”. It is a sticker that is almost identical to the one introduced in 2021 on Instagram. In the form like “the last pic in your gallery” or “the first pic with a partner”, this tool encourages users to generate a “chain reaction of cuteness”. Therefore, adaptation will not be a problem for anyone who considers using it as they are already in a position to see its utility especially if they are in the habit of using it in Instagram.

Customization of automated subtitles
YouTube also disclosed that users will be able to add and edit the automatic subtitles to the Shorts soon. From this, creators will be in a position to provide subtitles in different colors and fonts suitable for video production. This feature is also found in Instagram, but YouTube highly considers the option that relies on the user’s platform of choice.

A new Text-to-Speech feature
Moreover, there is now the Text-to-Speech feature on Shorts that YouTube is gradually introducing. For appending text after the recording there is a new ‘Add Voice’ icon at the top left of the JEEN tool. YouTube has four options for the voiceover: playback.

Auto Tracking for Android
Lastly, the recent invention that I have decided to incorporate in the concept is the ‘Auto Tracking’. Soon, an Android version will be released to make it simpler to follow the subject in a video being developed.

I should also point out that all of these changes will be gradually released to Shorts weekly for the next several weeks. Here is the video of the new features from the YouTube team that we can discuss Let’s watch:
