Meta AI is now landing in six new countries, including the United Kingdom, (but the European Union remains deprived of it)

Large-scale deployment
Artificial intelligence, the industry will soon see a major over haul. In fact, Meta AI, the virtual assistant of the Meta company, is ready to go global.

These are the countries we are discussing; Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, Philippines and United Kingdom where Meta AI will be deployed today. The list of countries that are expected to soon host this technology is Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Yemen. However, no date has been given for these countries.

New languages added and application compatibility
Besides this geographical growth, Meta AI is also growing in the number of languages it knows. Currently, it only supports Filipino and although they say they are working on expanding support to other languages, one that I believe should be supported by it is Arabic language is pending “soon.” Users will be able to enjoy the Meta AI assistant on the web or through the company’s social media apps: In particular, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger.

While Meta AI is developing Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses
This international rollout also simply brings Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in the UK and Australia. At the moment, in the case of the UK solely voice services will be opened. Meta has not said when full multimodal capability will arrive on these glasses and the above list of features is not exhaustive.

The European Union, which was almost invisible in this expansion
However, it should be mentioned that the European Union is not included in this extension at all. In fact, Meta stated this summer that it will not launch its multimodal AI services in the EU because of regulations. Facebook Inc’s Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg has openly pronounced his disapproval of how the European regulators are approaching the AI growth.
