Is Apple having a technological revolution in the palette?
I have never seen such iPhone 17 rumors for the next fall. In a new leak from well-known leaker Majin Bu, Apple is said to consider utilizing a different glue for the battery assembly process that covers all iPhone 17 series batteries — including some specially named like “iPhone 17 Slim” or “Air.”
Physically-removable glue pure and simple
This week, Majin Bu wrote that “The main purpose of these adhesives is to low the attachment force when peeling out batteries after applying correct tension for adhesive.” One can simply apply a tiny little voltage to the adhesive, and it will pull right off allowing you to separate that battery from the frame with no force.
This ought to make it easier for owners of the top iPhones when they go in to replace batteries, without as much risk of their devices being squished during repairs. However, it could be disappointing for some Apple fans that Apple only makes use of glue (instead of using a more permanent adhesive), because the strip needs to be replace with each new battery used in installingWe also have phone.
Technology already in place
It’s even absent from the equivalent Apple technologies revealed with both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which are ways behind what will come within the premium iPhones—iPhone 16 Pro or more expensive >iPhone 15.
Apple will use the output of those repairs at the Genius Bar over the next few months as users put all-new iPhones through their paces to inform any design changes for its iPhone 17 line before it heads into from-the-ground-up launch mode in 2025.
The iPhone 17 Air/Slim
The iPhone 17 Air/Slim, or whatever Apple ends up calling it is supposed follow the carriers lead with a thinner and lighter version of the standard iPhone 17 in place of an oversized model like we saw last year. Another rumor claims that the screen of iPhone 17 Air/Slim will integrate cutting-edge OLED technology in its huge panel measuring 6.6 inches, and a smaller pill cutout for the Dynamic Island.
Take all of this info with a grain or two of salt, at least until the show is confirmed.
