Pokémon studio announces new mobile game

Several months ago, Game Freak trademarked an enigmatic logo. Pandoland was nothing more than a meaningless name, which was not connected to any known game in development. However, 6 months later, the studio finally decided to reveal what was behind this name, which was nothing more than a mobile gaming project. Pandoland is an adventure RPG, with a cubic aesthetic that can remind us of the great hours of Pokémon Quest or the famous Minecraft.

It is absolutely not set in the Pokémon universe and prefers to transport us to a world where sea travel is legion.

No release in France for the time being
At the moment we only have a trailer in Japanese, as the title has only been announced for this region. It’s playable from today in the country, so Game Freak will have made the mystery last until the last second. The bad news is that we don’t know when Pandoland will be available in France. There’s a chance that the title will never cross our borders, but it’s hard to imagine that the studio could do without the European market for this mobile game.

It should also be noted that Pandoland is free to use. It can therefore be financially supported by advertising and/or micro transactions. The game is available on iOS and Android, and crossplay should be supported. We’ll have to wait for more information to learn more about the game modes. However, we can see from the trailer that the difficulty is adapted to new players, which is confirmed in the game’s product sheet. Game Freak says it’s a “casual” title, so all audiences should find something to their liking.
